Cargill Plc, a United States based Multinational Commodities trader with fiscal year 2023 turnover at US$ 177bn is set to exit its Kenyan operation.
Its local unit is a Bulk tea trader, active participant at the East Africa Tea Trade Auction with operations, warehouses in Mombasa with an annual turnover of US$180m.
They own Lesiolo Grain Handlers, based in Nakuru which is a storage facility for grains and cereals.
They are in process of disposing their assets with Browns and Company, Sri Lankan Tea Firm which recenctly bought James Finlay and DP World Dubai, a Port operator showing interest.
