The National Police DT Sacco has been ranked as the top-performing savings and credit cooperative in Kenya by leading research firm Microtrac Africa. Established in 1972, the Sacco now serves approximately 72,000 members nationwide, with an estimated asset base of KES 49 billion and a loan portfolio of KES 41 billion.

As the most profitable Sacco in the country, it has made substantial contributions to community development, such as constructing a stadium at the National Police Pavilion and participating in affordable housing projects. The success has been largely attributed to the effective leadership of CEO Solomon Mategwa, under whom the Sacco achieved a mean performance rating of 74%.

Embracing technology, the Sacco has made its services easily accessible to members via mobile platforms, enhancing user convenience.

Stima Sacco ranked second in the survey, posting a 9% growth in its loan book for the year ending December 2023 amid ongoing nationwide expansion. Harambee and Wakulima Saccos took the third and fourth spots, with mean ratings of 67% and 65.7%, respectively.
